Cross Stitch

Its done! It only took Steve 2 1/2 years, but its done and now I can have my husband back. He did steal my sudoku book, now, and won't give it back. He just dosen't know what to do with himself now. This one is of Rocky Point, and the one below he did for me for our 1st anniversary. One cool thing about it is that the back looks as good as the front, which is apparently very hard to do. He is amazing.

Snow!

We woke up yesterday to find a winter wonderland. Everything looked chubby and puffy, and just soft. So, of course, school was cancelled, and so we went to my friend, Kim's, house to build a snowman in her backyard. We had a lot of fun, and I think the kids liked it, too :) It is kinda nice to have Shaun home during the day, sometimes, so we can do fun things like that.
Here are some pictures of our sledding trip a couple of weeks ago. It was so much fun! The kids loved every minute of it, and so did Steve. I love days like that.

Thanks a lot.

So, I was needing a new book to read on Friday, after losing interest in Not Without My Daughter that I was supposed to read for book club (Sometimes I start to feel like its school all over again, and I'm trying to cram a 400 page novel in my brain in one night. It kinda loses the appeal), so I went to the library to find one. I came upon a new book that I had never heard of, and no one in the library had ever really seen it either, and decided to give it a try. Well, good news. I like it, and want to recommend it to all my friends and family, especially Lyndsay, Keri, Ursula, Kim, Mckenzie, Emilee, Renee, and everyone else. The book is called...

Twilight

Okay, obviously that was a joke, because since the first book club I went to in this ward, I have heard of nothing but this book. People will not rest until they know that I have surrendered to the evil that is Edward. Well, I have gone to the very dark side, and I don't think I can come back. I hope you're happy.

Husband Tag

Husband Tag
What is his name? Steven John Weber
How long have you been together? Married for almost 8 years. That sounds so long.
How long did you date? From the time we met to the time we married was 7 months.
How old is he? He'll be 30 in Sept. What an old man :)
Who eats more? Him. Hands down. He's a machine.
Who said I love you first? Good question. I actually have no idea.
Who's Taller? He is, barely.
Who can sing better? I can, but he can yodel better.
Who is smarter? Depends on what you consider smart. He is book smart and has so much knowledge, but I am much more street smart.
Who does the laundry? Me. Once we don't have any clothes anymore and we're desperate.
Who pays the bills? He does.
Who sleeps on the right side? He does, but it changes with the room setup. Whichever is furthest from the door, so the kids will go to me and not him in the middle of the night.
Who mows the lawn? He definetly will when we have one. He was raised doing the yard work and refusing to do the house work.
Who cooks dinner?Me, except when he's craving ramen, then its up to him.
Who drives? Both of us. He prefers to have me drive around town, but prefers to do it himself on roadtrips.
Who is more stubborn? He is.
Who kissed who first? He said I did, but it was him.
Who asked who out first? I did the first 2 times, maybe more, and then he finally relized he couldn't live without me.
Who proposed? He did, and it was perfect. Very romantic and sweet.
Who has more friends? I do, but I think women need more.
Who is more sensitive? I am by far.
Who has more siblings? He does. 9 kids in his family and only 8 in mine.
Who wears the pants? Depends on the situation. Finances? He does. Social situations? Its all me.
Now I tag Shelly B, Reba, and Emilee W

Tag, I'm it.

So, I've been tagged twice now in the past 24 hours, and once a long time ago, so I guess its time to answer the call.

10 years ago: I was a sophomore in high school (I know, I know), and in love with too many boys to even name.

Things on my to do list today: I need to take popcorn over to Shaun's class for their 100th day celebration, take Ella home from our playdate, take the kids to swimming lessons after school, change out of my workout clothes from walking group this morning, figure out something delicious (or at least edible) for dinner, dishes, tidy up living room, put kids to bed, then colapse in front of the tv.

What I would do if I were suddenly made a billionare: Pay tithing, pay off all of Steve's student loans, buy a house, invest, travel (Italy, Spain, New Zealand, Australia, back to Ireland, London to see a play or 2), share with my family, invest, set up a family non profit organization to help in Kenya (or wherever my sisters Keri and Jodie decide it is most needed), Buy a new tv (its time).

3 of my bad habits: Only 3? 1. I get sidetracked so easily... wait, what were we talking about? 2. I love to stay up way too late and read blogs, even people I have never met, and will never meet. It is fascinating to me. 3. crankiness, especially when I am hungry. I get pretty mean.

5 Jobs I've had: Hostess at a restaurant, waitress, salesgirl at ZCMI in the jewelry dept, credit union teller, life coach to 3 little monkeys.

5 Things people don't know about me: 1. I was very shy and awkward until 8th grade 2. I am a very picky sleeper. I have to be in the perfect position with my pillow just so, and complete darkness. 3. I lost my virgin lip status to 5 different stangers on the same night. 4. I have slept on a park bench in Paris in the freezing cold. 5. I love opera.

Orlando!

Here are some pictures of our trip to Orlando. It was so nice there, and we were not ready to come back to the cold. We had such a great time, and grew even closer to our already very close family. I want to go back.

My now available and very grown up brother, with Shaun at the beach.

Shaun and 2 of his cousins. There are 11 grandkids on my side (like 25 on Steve's).

Rachel in the water at Sea World.

At the Beach, a song comes to mind,

"That thong tho thong thong thong."

DisneyWorld!

DisneyWorld in my wheelchair after I nearly passed out (again), and then the kids decided to take their naps on me. This is the 4th time I have done a Disney park in a wheelchair. 1st time with a sprained ankle, next 3 for fainting. One good thing, you get to go to the front of all the lines (well, if you actually go on rides, that is).

Sea World! It was Awesome! We had so much more fun there than at Disney. The shows were amazing and the kids loved the animals and the rides. It was a great day.

Nathan, with his favorite thing, a ball. He could be screaming uncontrollably, but give him a ball, and he's good.
